Danny Lee, Ph.D

Dr. Lee received his Ph.D. in Medical Physics from the University of Sydney in Australia. He subsequently worked at Calvary Mater Hospital in Australia, and at Virginia Commonwealth University in Virginia before joining the Allegheny Health Network Cancer Institute in 2019. He also serves as an Assistant Professor of Radiological Science at Drexel University College of Medicine.


He is currently responsible for MR guided radiotherapy using the Elekta Unity MR Linac and provides training for physics residents. His research interests include MRI based tumor visualization, functional MRI for improved tumor detection and healthy tissue sparing, and the application of machine (deep) learning to predict MR guided radiotherapy outcomes.
