Youfang Lai, PhD
Youfang Lai, PhD, is a clinical and research fellow in the Division of Medical Physics at Johns Hopkins University. He earned his PhD in Applied Physics from the University of Texas at Arlington and completed a CAMPEP-accredited Medical Physics Graduate Program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Lai is currently training as a medical physics resident, with clinical responsibilities including patient-specific QA, machine QA, commissioning, and validation of dose calculation systems for VMAT and CyberKnife. His research focuses on GPU-accelerated Monte Carlo simulations for radiotherapy dose calculation, radiation chemistry, and DNA damage modeling.
